Corrosion indispensable energy sources in our daily lives, oil and natural gas are often found several thousand meters beneath the ground, under conditions of both high temperature and pressure. When brought to the earth’s surface by drilling operations, they gush out with extreme force. As energy demand continues to rise, drilling operation must explore and extract resources under increasingly demanding conditions. This requires well-heads equipment with superior resistance to heat, pressure and corrosion. Drilling Solutions
Rock bits – cutters used in underground drilling operations – are the
mainstay products of our TSK manufactured drilling products, along with
various other devices for subterranean resource development. Boasting
superb durability and reliable performance, these products are widely used in a variety of ground-drilling applications for the exploration of such natural resources as petroleum, natural gas, water, geothermal energy etc.

Achieving rapid drilling rates and extended operation from a single bit. These are two key factors in increasing efficiency and reducing costs in drilling operations. As Japan’s leading rock-bit manufacturer, TIX-TSK is committed to meeting these demands. Our activities range from the development of new bits to researching technologies that enable more efficient drilling through hard ground strata and under severe conditions. One successful example of our efforts is the X-type journal floating bearing. These bearings withstand large impact loads and high rotational speeds, thanks to an advanced, abrasion-resistant alloy, and are produced under stingent quality control based on API spec. 01 to ensure consistently superior quality.
